The outer fabric is a medium weight 100% organic cotton canvas. The top boasts our hand-dyed Japanese wave pattern in natural indigo created using a pleat and bind Shibori technique, while the bottom is a solid indigo. The vegetable-tanned leather strap will last for years to come and will continue to soften and develop a beautiful patina as it ages.

Every bag is hand dyed in my Lakefield, ON studio using natural dyes. The use of the traditional Japanese shibori dye technique creates diverse patterns that make every bag unique.

The fabric used in this bag has been hand dyed in our Lakefield area studio using a pleat and bind shibori method. In this process the cloth is folded in accordian pleats and the then bound with string or bands before being immersed in the dye vat.Materials Veg-tanned Leather Straps
The vegetable tanning process produces some of the sturdiest, most durable leathers available.
