Our Lodi crossbody purse is the perfect size for carrying just the bare essentials for your outing, like your wallet, phone, car keys and of course some lip gloss.
The outer fabric is a medium weight 100% organic cotton canvas. The top boasts a hand-dyed pattern in natural indigo created using a katazome technique, while the bottom is solid, dyed with natural Black Walnut. The vegetable-tanned leather strap will last for years to come and will continue to soften and develop a beautiful patina as it ages.

Design Techniques Katazome
The fabric used in this bag has been hand dyed in our Lakefield area studio using the traditional Japanese technique of Katazome. In this process a paste made from very sticky ingredients, in this case rice flour, is pushed through a hand-cut stencil to define a pattern on fabric. The fabric is then dipped into the dye and anywhere the paste has been applied will not allow the dye to adhere.Materials Veg-tanned Leather Straps
The vegetable tanning process produces some of the sturdiest, most durable leathers available. The long and slow traditional techniques used to process the hides for vegetable-tanned leather means that vegetable-tanned leather goods continue to soften and develop a beautiful patina as they age.Colour
